Kiwanis Fishing Derby- Smith Lake |
Welcome!
The Morwens Kiwanis Club of Algona, Iowa USA
serves...the
community of Algona and the surrounding area with volunteers and quality projects that
benefit the children of families of Algona and beyond. We do this
through community programs such as a fishing derby, pumpkin
decorating, leadership training classes, support for Aktion Club,
and of course- fundraisers. Join a club that is doing something to
change the world one child, one community at a time!
Get-R-Done!
A message from our
President:
Welcome to the Algona Morwens!
Thank you for taking the time to browse through our club
information. If there
is anything we can help you with, please let us know.
Like every community, every K club is unique.
Unique in the way a service club reflects the community in
which they serve.
While Algona has five K related clubs, the
members of our club are both young and old, with most having
children and grandchildren. Therefore,
they fully understand the needs of children at any age and social-economic background allowing them to serve the individuals
needs of all.
There is no doubt that deep friendships among
club members develop as we serve our community and its children by
working side by side.
The satisfaction of serving one’s
community; the friendships formed in the joint act of enhancing
the lives of children; and the ability to provide such acts of
kindness in the community we all call home, makes our club more
than a club and our mission more than a slogan.
It’s our passion.
So take some time and join us for breakfast
at our weekly meeting held at the Chrome Country Inn in Algona,
Iowa from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. each Wednesday.
